This Credit Officer position is based in New York and will report directly to the Deputy Chief Credit Officer (DCCO). It represents a superb opportunity for the right candidate to put their credit skills and expertise to work in a dynamic and highly visible environment supporting two of the most prominent business groups in the Bank. As a Credit Officer you will be responsible for providing direct support to the DCCO for East West Bank’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loan portfolio, specifically the Structured Finance and Private Equity portfolios. You will assist the DCCO with: the analysis of new transactions; the renewal and modification of existing transactions; financial data analysis; cash flow modeling and scenario analysis; legal documentation review; and the monitoring and surveillance of the structured finance and private equity portfolios. You’ll also assist the DCCO with credit policy documentation and other ad-hoc research projects as needed, to support the continued expansion of East West Bank’s Structured Finance and Private Equity businesses.

The candidate is responsible for providing analytical support for the Bank’s asset and liability management functions to measure and analyze balance sheet risks using metrics such as net interest income (NII), economic value of equity (EVE), balance sheet gaps, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing analysis, etc. This position will report to the ALM Manager and will be responsible for monthly production, maintaining model assumptions, and meeting internal/external governance requirements. The candidate will work closely with other groups in Treasury and Finance who use the ALM model output.

The Quality Control Specialist IV is responsible for the quality review and self-test reviews of all loan products (bilateral or syndicated), including but not limited to, Specialized Lending, Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate loans booked on the FIS loan system to ensure data accuracy, compliance with government requirements, federal and state laws and regulations, risk mitigation and company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include the identification of risk and remediation thereof, perform Quality Control reviews through the use of ad hoc and system reports in order to ensure overall accuracy and completeness of the loan data.
