    East West Bank is currently seeking a Wire & FX Operations Manager. The Wire and FX Operations Manager will work within wire transfer which provides funds transfer services for all Commercial & Retail customers within the US, Hong Kong & China. This position provides senior leadership and oversight of the function to include short and long term strategic direction, change control & implementation, regulatory compliance, business process improvement, new product or process design, vendor management and operational efficiency with accuracy.In addition, this role also works to evaluate new vendor relationships and/or products that could reduce overall operational cost and increase controls to continue to reduce the overall risk associated with the Wire function.This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Banking Operations.  


    • Develop Strategies and execution plans to improve the Wire & FX Operations
    • Evaluate regulatory changes, determine operational impact and implement accordingly
    • Participate in user groups to identify business process changes that could benefit EWB
    • Interact with various EWB functions to insure exceptional customer service & client satisfaction
    • Administer Change Control discipline to insure successful implementations within the Wire & FX operation teams
    • Partner with Product Management to design enhanced functionality or services related to payments
    • Analyze operational data to improve processes, efficiency and accuracy
    • Serve as a member of the Operational Risk Management Committee and prepare presentations as required to support operational or policy changes related to wire processing and FX Operations
    • Provide input to manage Vendor Performance and drive improvement
    • Provide executive updates regarding the units strategic roadmap, initiative implementation and success
    • Insure the functions BCP plan is adequate from a scale and execution perspective
    • Prepare and publish monthly operational reporting as required
    • Function as the primary owner of East West Banks SWIFT relationship
    • Execute the Third Party Risk Management program for the Wire & FX Operation
    • Partner with Risk to complete risk assessments and conduct first line of defense quality control reviews
    • Represent the wire operation in all audit and federal reserve reviews as required
    • Interact with the Federal Reserve as required to insure any changes related to Fed Line are implemented
    • Serve as a member of the EWB Payments working group


    • 3-5 functional/professional experience required
    • 8-10 supervisory experience required
    • Initiative implementation experience
    • Overall commercial banking or treasury management operations management
    • Senior level management experience with routine interaction at a senior management level
    • Strong systems & technology experience with an emphasis on logical actions and outcomes
