    East West Bank is seeking a Mortgage Post Closing - Team Lead. The Mortgage Post Closing – Team Lead who would be responsible for the operations oversight associated with the post-closing and loan delivery of residential mortgage loans and provide support to department Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide oversight and direction to the team regarding daily assignments for newly originated mortgage loans to ensure department SLA’s are completed timely.
    • Monitor daily reporting for post-close reviews on newly originated loans and modifications through a data field validation process to ensure data integrity is maintained for consumer loan documents.
    • Monitor all data used in the loan underwriting including all data passed to loan servicing system to ensure accurate results
    • Provide information and training to the team. Communicate changes in procedures, policies and guidelines helping to interpret and clarify their meanings and intended usage.
    • Perform ongoing, structured, and rigorous testing of key procedures and controls within business units; working with the department manager, develop, draft and implement new testing scripts
    • Analyze and report to management on loan quality and boarding issues
    • Ensure QC audit review qualities are within acceptable risk parameters
    • Required to be current on all company policies and practices and knowledgeable of all industry specific related CFPB regulations to ensure proper review
    • Participate in Mortgage Operations initiatives to improve efficiency and customer service
    • Assists in special projects and other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA preferred, or equivalent work related experience
    • Minimum 7 years of mortgage lending experience
    • Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and Encompass experience preferred
    • Knowledge of LPS (Blacknight) and Imaging system preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
    • Familiarity with Mortgage Loan Documents required
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of controls and risk
    • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and perform in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to build effective relationships as needed to effectively address issues and obstacles
    • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
    • Experience with statistical and analytic concepts
    • FIS and LPS system knowledge preferred
