    We are currently seeking a HR Communications Specialist. The HR Communications Specialist will work with the Employee Engagement Team at  East West Bank. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and coordinate efforts to tell the firm’s story.  The audiences include all forms of media, and employees in all regions. This position will support East West Bank’s communications strategies, generate fresh ideas and content to educate and celebrate our employees. This position will also support all the HR programs, which is an important platforms that brings associates together from all lines of business and deliver the bank locally as one cohesive and united team to enrich the communities where we live and work. 


    This position prefers someone a strategic, creative thinker and also a hard worker who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. With a passion to uncover compelling stories, write and edit outstanding content, and ability to act as a team player are a must. This position will collaborate with multiple executives, businesses and colleagues across the firm.


    • Develop compelling surround sound communications and strategies to proactively present the bank’s story with our employees and potential candidates
    • Act as reporter/editor to gather and organize employee communication content; Act as a publisher for intranet news sites to keep employees informed
    • Prepare engaging stories that celebrate our employees by using multiple channels and mediums
    • Manage and distribute the bank-wide monthly newsletters process
    • Write, edit and maintain quality control of various internal content
    • Work with the team to plan and execute employee events that showcase business highlights and employees
    • Collaborate with other communicators across the bank
    • Collaborate closely with the design team to compose visual stories
    • Travel to key markets as needed and appropriate
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    • 4+ years of experience in Journalism, PR, Communications, or Marketing
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent combination of training and experience required
    • Outstanding writing and editing skills, Passionate story-teller
    • Ability to recognize the compelling stories that capture a key value proposition and get people talking
    • Work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to details
    • Outstanding attention to detail
    • High level of independence, energy and integrity; demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
    • Ability to effectively advise, partner and collaborate with peers in order to execute on assignments
    • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Additional software skills (e.g., Photoshop, HTML) a plus
    • Act as a team player and be willing to collaborate and contribute on both a strategic and tactical level
