    East West Bank is seeking a Client Onboarding Officer for the Client Onboarding Services Department in our HK office.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Responsible for gather request from Front office, determine what information require for fill-in under online account opening system and generate document requirements
    • Negotiate with client and Front office directly and conduct initial check of documents as a maker role
    • Act as single point of contact & handle customer inquiries and concerns for the account set up information via telephone, e-mail
    • Engage Front Office in the issues surrounding account opening process. Keep them regularly updated on the major issues and seek escalation on the major issues
    • Actively follow up and monitor the status of end to end on boarding flow of new Clients / Products, including client and internal stakeholders such as Front office, CDD, compliance & Operation
    • Complete KYC risk assessments by undertaking first round CDD review, conduct material negative news and sanctions name screening assessments of existing & new clients
    • Participate in in-house client visits for witnessing of singing account opening documents if necessary
    • Prepare and monitor clients' feedback on the quality of online account opening system and act as the single point of contact for OAOS
    • Work closely with Front office on enhanced serviced towards all prospect clients
    • Develop communication skill with the sales by setting up informal meetings
    • Work closely with Compliance to ensure compliance with new and existing procedures and regulatory requirements if necessary
    • Assist in ad hoc system & regulatory projects, UAT and associated tasks related to Onboarding services

    Qualifications

    • Good working knowledge in Computer literacy
    • Ability to identify, analyze, and escalate complex issues & problem resolution skills
    • Taking personal responsibility for identifying client needs while providing a high value experience
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English/Mandarin
    • Efficient, self-motivated and hard working
    • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
    • Bachelor's degree. 2-4 years in Customer Service/ Client On-boarding/ KYC experience is preferred
