    East West Bank is currently seeking a SBA Business Development Officer. This position is responsible for marketing SBA loans to eligible businesses. Typical loan amounts are for $350,000 - $5,000,000.

    As a valuable East West Bank team member, your duties (not limited to) will include:

    • Generates new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking and referrals. Makes a substantial number of outside, in-person calls on prospects and clients requiring extensive automobile travel.
    • Develops and maintains referral sources for SBA marketing purposes.
    • Maintains and applies a thorough understanding of the bank’s credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages.
    • Actively participates in local SBA district functions within assigned marketing area.
    • Provides management with input regarding current policies and practices.
    • Generates loans that maintain an acceptable level of performance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements: 

    • Successful track record in generating SBA loans with an emphasis on the SBA 7(a) program.
    • At least five years of SBA Business Development Officer experience.
    • Ability to generate all SBA loan leads without branch referrals.
    • Good understanding of financial institution departments and activities.
    • Demonstrate great customer service via phone and email.
    • Extensive broker referral network.
    • Solid understanding of SBA loan policies and good credit skills.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
