    We are currently seeking a Learning & Development Consultant. The Learning & Development Consultant will support XX LOB. The position is responsible for ensuring effective training is in place to enable the achievement of desired business results. Training programs focus on a variety of topics, including product knowledge, company philosophy, customer experience, leadership skills, and sales processes. Applicants must have experience working in complex, global organizations, ideally in the financial industry. 

    This candidate must be an influential and results oriented consultant who can develop and manage relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and subject matter expertise. The candidate will partner with business leaders to drive performance with key focus on Leadership Development, Talent Management, Performance Management and Learning Strategy. This role must be located in Pasadena.


    Will work with the business and HR Business Partner team to perform needs and/or gap analysis with individual teams/business units; determine training strategies to meet associate training needs, including both broad roll-out and customized training. Applies expertise in Leadership Development to identify opportunities, strategies and solutions that are directly linked to organizational and business goals. Establishes and maintains partnerships with Subject Matter Experts (SME's), and vendors to identify and drive performance improvement. Responsible for providing high level consultative support to lead the design, development and implementation of leadership development services supporting multiple priorities and initiatives with significant impact on customer and financial results. Responsible for ensuring integration with local, regional, and national business partners to drive successful execution of leadership development solutions. Requires deep subject matter expertise in LD solution development. Individual contributor role. 


    • Partner with business and HR Business Partners in the planning and implementation/ delivery of all Learning and Development requirements.
    • Deliver existing company training requirements including product knowledge training.
    • Design and support the execution of the leadership agenda (i.e., management processes, communication strategy) and support executives in building/developing strong teams 
    • Provide coaching and consultation to key leaders in the line of business 
    • Lead design and implementation of key leadership and HR initiatives (e.g. 360 feedback, performance management, competency development, career planning process) 
    • Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials. Implement key leadership development processes and programs  
    • Partner with peers and management to leverage and re-purpose existing content, courses, websites, and systems to meet targeted needs.
    • Build strong relationships to partner effectively with a variety of constituents (compensation, talent Acquisition and other) in building integrated people processes 
    • Identify, develop and lead the implementation of multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment with competing priorities 
    • Review curriculum feedback and develop proposals for revising/enhancing; modify training content based on feedback.


    • Ability to conduct systems training in an interactive environment (in –person and virtual) to meet defined objectives.
    • Ability to systematically organize and complete detailed tasks, and check the accuracy and completeness of work in a timely manner
    • Ability to work independently, as necessary to meet goals and accomplish work objectives
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and training delivery tools (i.e. WebEx, Camtasia, Captivate, Cornerstone)
    • Ability to verbally exchange information and ideas in a clear and concise manner appropriate for the audience
    • Ability to compose written materials in a clear and concise manner appropriate for the audience
    • Ability to learn fast and to assume responsibility quickly
    • Willingness & ability to change travel plans and timelines at a moment’s notice, to meet always changing business demands
    • Some travel required 
    • 5+ years functional/professional experience required
    • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree Preferred
