    We are currently seeking a Assistant Facilities Manager. The Assistant Facilities Manager works closely with the General Services Manager to provide guidance and coordination for any efforts pertaining to building repairs, maintenance, and construction. 

    Responsibilities

    • Supervises multi-disciplinary teams including contractors (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), janitorial, pest control, landscapers to ensure facilities are well maintained
    • Assists senior management with project initiation, project management, follow up and cost tracking utilizing construction management methodologies, system and tools
    • Requests and reviews vendor proposals for various repair, maintenance and construction projects to ensure cost effectiveness
    • Leads and facilitates the communication and interaction among the functional representatives, both internal and external
    • Manages budgets and controls expenses effectively
    • Recommends new processes where needed to improve quality, on-time delivery and efficiency
    • Ensures that facilities meet government, environmental and safety standards

    Qualifications

    • 3 yrs experience in a supervisory function
    • 5-7 years' of building mgmt experience.
    • Ability to manage, mentor and lead a team
    • Effective communicator (verbal and written)
    • Excellent problem solver with strong time management and analytical skills
    • Working knowledge of building systems including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and FLS
    • Basic knowledge of building and ADA codes
    • Ability to read blueprints/bldg. plans
    • Experience in managing multi-site facilities or experience in a service / repair work setting
    • Ability to travel as needed for site visits and evaluation of property (15%)
    • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, & Project)
    • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as well as being on call
    • Some understanding of leasing / landlord requirements
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs
    • People skills/communicaton and writing skills
