    East West Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Closing Administrator. The Commercial Loan Closing Administrator is responsible for commercial loan closing / funding including, but not limited to, Commercial Real Estate loans, Asset Based Lending, Trade Finance, SBA, C & I and Construction loans for business and consumer purpose for multiple states. Ensures that loan closing meets company policies and procedures and all regulatory and legal requirements for all states where EWB has lending offices.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide the commercial loan closing and funding team with the technical support needed to close / fund commercial loans. This includes working with closing agents and attorneys.
    • Ensure loan boarding quality and accuracy by performing 2nd review in accordance with the established matrix based on loan threshold and employee experience and reviewing team member’s score card details
    • Communicate with commercial lending officers or other office personnel, attorneys, and Credit Supervisors as necessary prior to booking, to ensure appropriate, complete, accurate loan documents are prepared with the proper level of lending authority, and all pre-funding requirements are met
    • Provide training to new and existing team members on closing of commercial loans and collateral perfection
    • Identify process-reengineering initiatives to improve processes and provide recommendations and solutions to department manager and/or senior management to improve efficiency and customer experience
    • Draft procedures and job aids for new and existing loan products as directed by department manager
    • Back up closing and funding supervisor as needed
    • Support audit review and provide information and documentation by gathering, analyzing and summarizing data as needed. Perform remediation on loan portfolio identified by audit including loan scrubs. 
    • Coordinate with other departments in the implementation of new processes which includes testing of new products, determining new boarding process and the establishment of new codes. Perform testing on ILM enhancements related to Loan Closing and Funding

    Qualifications

    • Each team member must have knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC Laws/Regulations, understand how these obligations relate to his/her role, and comply with these laws and regulations
    • 5+ years of commercial or mortgage banking experience in closing / funding of loans, lien perfection, loan accounting, customer service and/or equivalent banking experience
    • Working knowledge of rules, regulations and policies concerning banking services, particularly with commercial lending and related loan closing
    • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high pressure environment
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    • Good leadership skills
    • Strong written and communication skills
    • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details
