  • Overview

    We are currently seeking a Deposit Operations Support to join our Centralized Operations team. This individual will be an integral member of the Centralized Operations team and will support the division via operational procedural review & maintenance, incident management/remediation, and general operations support to ensure critical functions are handled according to regulatory and compliance expectations. The VP Deposit Operations Support may assist with various aspects of user acceptance testing in support of initiatives involving the deposit and retail banking business. The position requires strong subject matter expertise in retail and deposit operations and all associated regulations. Individual will be a self-starter with excellent organizational, communication and influence leadership skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and complete short term initiatives associated with operational process gap closure or remediation. Translate needs into required procedural, process or system changes in order to achieve operational excellence, compliance adherence and improvement in customer and/or business partner pain-points
    • Collaborate with key business partners in IT, Compliance, Legal and other internal teams to review and assess proper solutions to help optimize and strengthen operational processes
    • Interact with 3rd party vendor(s) to manage closure of reported incidents or work through completion of new projects requiring full vendor involvement
    • Assist with system/functional testing
    • Maintain and own inventory of procedures supporting retail and deposit operations.
    • As needed, assist with regulatory reporting/MIS
    • Represent Centralized Operations in cross-functional meetings
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Each team member must have knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC Laws/Regulations, understand how these obligations relate to his/her role, and comply with these laws and regulations
    • Prior experience working with vendor provided core banking systems (i.e. FIS, FISERV, etc.) with understanding of core system functionality/setup
    • Proven track record of successfully driving change and process improvement
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • 5+ years experience in deposit and retail operations
    • 5+ years full knowledge of current deposit related banking regulations
    • 3+ years prior experience supporting operations with digital/electronic banking services
