    We are currently seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist — Trailing Documents for our Mortgage Loan Operations Department. The Loan Servicing Specialist — Trailing Documents is to process the daily incoming collateral documentation items and trailing documents ensuring that all of the necessary loan files are pulled and properly matched with the collateral/trailing documents (i.e. mortgage/deed of trusts, title policies, hazard insurances policies, etc.). Activities Include but are not limited to: responsible for the maintenance and control of newly originated documentation files, original notes and any additional collateral. Track and monitor various documentation for all loans which fall within the monitoring guidelines and updates documentation accordingly. Follow up on receipt of documentation exceptions and/or trailing documents. Ensure loan documents are properly inventoried and stored for future retrieval and review. This position will support the trailing documentation team.


    • Review final mortgage loans documentation for accuracy
    • Work with external parties to receive all final loan documentation needed
    • Responsible for reviewing and tracking incoming trailing documents via loan origination system
    • Corrects deficiencies and/or obtains missing documents including: Mortgage, Deed of Trust, POA, Final title policy
    • Follow up for receipt of recorded documents and other collateral related documents such as: title policies, tax service contracts, etc. This includes reviewing the documents upon receipt for proper recording, vesting or distributing to the Lender for review and following up with the proper agency for error and corrections.
    • May process scanning and filing of documentation requests that are received from various teams. This includes, but is not limited to, loan file comments, trailing documents, Hazard Insurance Policies
    • Files documents according to File Safekeeping file standards, recognizing scanning and filing errors and correcting them
    • Participate in Mortgage Operations initiatives to improve efficiency and customer service
    • Assists in special projects and other duties as assigned


    • BS/BA preferred, or equivalent work related experience
    • Minimum 5 years of mortgage lending experience
    • Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and Encompass experience preferred
    • Knowledge of LPS (Blacknight) and Imaging system preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
    • Proficient with Mortgage Loan Documents required
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and perform in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to build effective relationships as needed to effectively address issues and obstacles
