    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Manage the reporting staff to ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements and timelines.
    • Review and preparation of various banking regulatory reports, including the quarterly Call and FRY9C, FRYLP, FRY10, FFIEC 009, FRY6, TICs etc.
    • Coordinate with other members of the accounting department and other departments to obtain and review schedules for the preparing of both internal reporting package and external filings.
    • Work with departments such as Data Management and Integration, Loan Operations, Treasury and Legal to continuously improve the process flow and ensure data completeness and accuracy.
    • Analyze regulatory guidance and assess the reporting impact to the bank as well as create an approach for enabling the bank to effectively meet the new reporting and disclosure requirements.
    • Assist with the assessment of new Regulatory guidance, prepare position papers on the impact to the company and amend the reporting process accordingly.
    • Review/prepare various schedules for internal reporting requirements including the monthly Board package.
    • Ensure proper documentation of work-papers, which provide details of procedural flow charts, and provide recommendations on processes’ improvements, and recommended corrective action
    • Liaise with regulatory examiners and internal audit to ensure that all of their requirements with respect to their examinations, including the compilation of information with respect to the Entry Day, and/or First Day, Letter, are met with little or no exceptions.
    • Assist in various special projects.
    • Preparation and review of board pages.

     


    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • At least 5-8 years of banking experience in two out of three of the following categories: a) Big 4 Public Accounting b) Regulatory Reporting c) Bank Accounting

    Candidates should have regulatory experience either from a Big 4 Public Accounting, applicable Big 4 advisory services, Internal Audit or regulatory agency or prior experience.

    • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory guidance experience
    • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills; including research skills regarding current and prospective updates to regulatory reporting.
    • Must be team-oriented
    • Must be able to handle multiple assignments and be deadline oriented.
    • Good project management skills
    • CPA license preferred.
    • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy

     

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
    • At least 5-8 years of banking experience in two out of three of the following categories: a) Big 4 Public Accounting b) Regulatory Reporting c) Bank Accounting

     

    Candidates should have regulatory experience either from a Big 4 Public Accounting, applicable Big 4 advisory services, Corporate Internal Audit or regulatory agency

     

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

     

    Strong verbal and written communication skill. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
