    We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Special Projects Manager to Plan and execute accounting related special projects for the department. Projects may include process improvement, system upgrade/implementation, and implementation of new transactions or new accounting rules.

    We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Special Projects Manager to Plan and execute accounting related special projects for the department. Projects may include process improvement, system upgrade/implementation, and implementation of new transactions or new accounting rules.

    As a valuable East West Bank team member, your duties (not limited to) will include: 
    · Identify, plan, coordinate and lead special projects for the department.
    · Identify areas for process improvement and develop and execute plans to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
    · Lead various system upgrade and new system implementation efforts
    · Work with Financial Reporting group to evaluate new accounting transactions and new accounting pronouncements and with the affected group to implement
    · Establishment and maintenance of relevant accounting policy and procedures for transactions undertaken by and affecting the company.
    · Review board package materials, support month-end closing procedures and monthly reconciliation process, and perform and review monthly financial statements fluctuation analysis.
    · Prepare various schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors, and provided assistance, as needed, in the preparation of audited financial statements and related footnotes.
    · Review and analyze the Bank’s consolidated financial statement.
    · Provide assistance in the review of banking regulatory reports, including the quarterly Call and FRY Report schedules and SEC filings, as needed.
    · Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.

    Qualifications/Requirements:
    · CPA license preferred
    · Public accounting experience preferred
    · Banking/financial institution industry experience is required
    · At least 8 years of public and private banking experience with 3 years in a supervisory/management role
    · Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts
    · Strong organizational and project management skills
    · Strong verbal and written communication skills
    · Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
    · Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
    · Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
    · Demonstrated managerial and supervisory experience
    · Professional attitude and demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgment
    · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word Education:
    · Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university with emphasis in Accounting
