Overview

We are currently seeking an International Operations Specialist.

The International Operations Specialist is responsible for the handling of Standby and Commercial Letters of Credit Issuance and Documentary Negotiations. Ensuring we are adherence to laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to protect the asset quality of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and direction on operational aspects of trade finance to both internal and external customers. Escalate any issues to supervisor regarding trade finance services.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining quality control of products and services.
  • Adhere to all department policies and procedures to ensure all Internal Compliance/Anti-Boycott/OFAC/AML. Collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements, government rules, contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of all laws, regulations, developments, and trends in the industry. Good working knowledge of UCP600, ISP98, URC522, Incoterms, IBSP and SWIFT.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in related field is required.
  • Knowledge of UCP600, ISP98, URC522, Incoterms and SWIFT.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze and quantify the financial impact of the issues involved.
  • Ability to handle and escalate situations using great interpersonal, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and follow through.
  • Proficient written, verbal and presentation skills are needed to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet, and internal software.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $26.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
