Overview

The Structured Finance/Specialty Finance Assistant Vice President will drive portfolio performance by actively monitoring loan performance where repayment relies primarily on asset-based cash flows. They will be responsible for assessing complex collateral structures, covenant compliance, borrowing base management, funding transactions and overseeing monthly cash flow waterfalls to ensure transactional integrity.  As a client-facing role, they will also be required to service and escalate loan and banking related issues/queries as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior oversight of collateral risk management for Structured Finance customers
  • Serve as subject‑matter expert on complex collateral structures, borrowing base mechanics, eligibility criteria, and concentration limits
  • Review borrowing base methodologies, exceptions, and structural changes in accordance with credit policy and loan documentation
  • Partner with Relationship managers, Portfolio team, Third party vendors and Credit on new originations, amendments, renewals, and complex transactions
  • Assist and identify portfolio‑level risk assessments, trend analysis, and early warning identification for collateral performance issues
  • Oversee escalations related to collateral discrepancies, audit findings and custodian matters
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of advances, paydowns, distributions, and monthly settlement activity
  • Monitor and maintain Senior collateral supervision KPI metrics
  • Serve as primary contact for internal, external audits, and regulatory examinations related to collateral
  • Lead collateral process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control
  • Prepare executive‑level portfolio and risk reporting for senior management
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team, including training, performance management, and coverage
  • Perform ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as requested by senior management
  • May perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of Collateral Analysis experience with preference in Structured Finance Industry or Asset back Lending (Commercial Lending)
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong Excel and MS Office suite skills mandatory (Aptitude Assessment may be required)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be detailed oriented, quick study and proactive

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
