Overview

East West Bank is seeking a Real Estate Evaluation Officer for our Appraisal team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent review of real estate appraisals to ensure compliance with regulatory and Bank requirements and the ability to provide constructive feedback to appraisers or 3rd party evaluators.
  • The evaluation officer is the liaison with the business line and provides market research and analyzing specific property valuation metrics
  • Act as liaison to the Residential Mortgage Team to assist them occasionally on elevated residential appraisal reports and provide recommendation and/or discuss directly with the Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs)
  • Write real estate evaluations, validation or review reports in a timely manner
  • Conduct and write a monthly and quarterly quality control report of appraisal ordered by the Residential Mortgage team.
  • Analyze real estate trends and markets, understand overall valuations, perform research using internal and external tools to provide market data
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as the analyst provides regular project updates to internal stakeholders and supports reporting and administrative tasks
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with a proven ability to work well in a high-intensity environment to complete tasks quickly and effectively
  • This role may occasionally be responsible for assisting the appraisal coordinator documenting and tracking valuation orders and deadlines
  • Adhoc projects as requested

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of real estate evaluation and/or real estate review experience specifically for a financial institution
  • Successful completion of appraisal courses
  • Real estate knowledge of real estate appraisals and the use of evaluation report
  • Proficient navigation skills with Word and Excel, AI

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $34.00/Hr. - USD $40.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
