Overview

Act as a team lead of the Loans & Trade Operations to supervise daily operations of trade finance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations related to trade finance (i.e. standby LC, Trade Loan/ LC issuance/ LC advising/ import and expert bills documents/ invoice financing)
  • Handle and perform documents checking and processing various types of Bills transactions
  • Handle internal and external stakeholders’ inquiries on trade finance operations
  • Ensure compliance with international trade rules, regulations and internal policies
  • Conduct OFAC checking (i.e. Sanction and AML) on trade finance documents
  • Develop, coach and motivate trade finance operations teammates to maximize efficiency through training, knowledge and skill-set transfer
  • Review and update procedures & workflow related to trade finance operations
  • Assist the department head in formulating operations strategies and identify improvement opportunities
  • Immediate escalation of all issues / risk to Senior Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • 15 years of working experience in banking operations with trade operations focused, of which 5 to 8 years of experience in supervisory or team managementIn-depth knowledge of trade rules and regulations, UCP/ISBP/URC
  • Solid experience in handling finance instruments and international trade documentation
  • Capable of meeting SLA / tight deadlines
  • Holder of CDCS is preferable
  • Good management skills and able to coach the team to achieve agreed target
  • Excellent stakeholder management skill
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Passion in identifying and driving new operations improvement opportunities
