Overview

We are seeking a Director of FX Trading.

Responsibilities

  • Lead EWB Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading/Research Group
  • Provide overall leadership for the strategy, talent, performance, and financial results of Trading operations
  • Communicate with and motivate teams to both understand and achieve goals
  • Profitably manage multiple Rates and FX (cash and derivatives) books
  • Monitor and manage FX exposure, interest rate (IR) exposure, and liquidity risk for the entire bank, and ensure the compliance with the Volcker Rule/Dodd Frank Act
  • Actively manage global funding requirements and optimize the cost of funding
  • Lead and manage new product projects/discussion. Coordinate with Compliance, Treasury, Accounting, FP&A, and other internal stakeholders to offer new FX products to our clients
  • Monitor and manage Trading Group's limit usage, including position limit, pre-settlement, settlement, and due/from limits
  • Manage the bank's balance sheet risk for both on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet items. Hedge FX/IR exposure for the bank's balance sheet
  • Coordinate with Accounting and FP&A departments on reconciliation of the G/L entries
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party vendor to conduct testing and implement FX system and FX service
  • Manage relationships with correspondent banks
  • Prepare FX forecasts to Treasury regarding bank-wide FX exposures and hedges
  • Maintain legal/compliance documents such as FX Trading policy, desktop procedure, and operating S0Ps
  • Provide bank-wide training session to newly joined team members
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of FX trading experience. 5+ years of team management experience
  • Track record to prove consistent profitability in the past 5 years
  • Track record of using analytical and fundamental FX market research skills to positively impact trading and funding decisions
  • Familiarity with Volcker Rule/Dodd Frank Act
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters, Peoplesoft, and single dealer platforms Familiarity with FX systems, such as Opics, Murex, and Wallstreet
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience writing and editing code is a plus

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $180,000.00/Yr. - USD $260,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
