Overview

We are currently seeking a senior leader to lead analytics strategy and use case delivery, solidify underlying data foundation to support the analytics strategy, and develop AI strategy to enable data driven decision making, innovation and operational excellence across our bank. This role will be a part of EWB Strategy team.  

Responsibilities

  • Establish a center of excellence of Analytics across the bank, foster a data culture and transform static reports to data-backed insights and action-driven analytics to influence business decision making and regulatory compliance, and drive collaboration and data adoption across the bank.
  • Build analytics strategies and roadmap, including defining and managing the data inventory, data quality, data integration, data engineering, and data science capabilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders across the bank to identify data needs, business and regulatory requirements, and technological capabilities to ensure meaningful solutions meet both present and future needs (e.g. streamlining regulatory reporting, customer relationship management, identifying cross-sale opportunities, etc.) and drive positive outcomes.
  • Based on the analytics strategy, solidify the underlying data foundation, including defining and implementing the data and AI governance framework, policies, standards, and best practices, and ensuring data quality, security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Ensure regulatory readiness of data governance and management program across the bank globally as the bank prepares for additional regulatory requirements
  • Work with software engineers in China to enable and comply with global and local regulatory reporting.
  • Build and execute the AI strategy and roadmap, including identifying and prioritizing use cases, selecting, and deploying platforms and tools, and developing and implementing solutions that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects and/or duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant and consultative-approach experience in data governance, analytics strategy and delivery, data architecture, and/or AI strategy.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in financial risk management, preferably in the banking or financial industry, is required.
  • Master’s degree in data science, computer science, financial engineering, or other relevant discipline is required.
  • Proven ability in developing, communicating, and maintaining data and AI strategy and roadmaps, including aligning them with business objectives and ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
  • Extensive and diverse experience in defining and executing data and AI strategy and solutions across various organizations.
  • Proficient in guiding the use of a wide range of data and AI technologies, such as data quality, data integration, data engineering, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, to solve complex business problems.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, including the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive change across the organization.
  • Experience in working with multinational organizations is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn new technologies and knowledge.
  • Proficient in Chinese is required.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $200,000.00/Yr. - USD $280,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
