Overview

The Commercial Title Analyst will be responsible for performing tasks relative to Commercial real property collateral. The Title Analyst will further work with lending staff, credit administration, credit supervision, compliance, and legal department to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures in relation to the commercial real property collateral in support of Loan Documentation, Loan Closing and Collateral Monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough due diligence review, including but not limited to preliminary title reports, title commitments, surveys, appraisals and flood determinations.
  • Recognize and discuss title issues with title officer, lending staff and credit supervisor to resolve any title issues with commercial real property collateral.
  • Act as liaison between escrow, title, in-house legal counsel and all interested parties to prepare lender’s instructions and perfect commercial real property collateral for commercial loans including but not limited to CRE and C&I Loans.
  • Identify required title endorsements and exceptions on preliminary title reports.
  • Prepare lender’s instructions, SNDAs, tenant estoppels, and other documents as required to ensure Bank’s lien position on commercial real property collateral is in accordance with the credit approval.
  • Provide necessary real property collateral information to Loan Administrator and Documentation Specialist for preparation of collateral security documents
  • Provide support to Loan Servicing Collateral Monitoring on final Title Policies
  • May perfect real property collateral.
  • May prepare loan documents on LaserPro in accordance with Bank Policy and according to the terms of the approved credit.
  • Create Management report as assigned
  • Participate in the CCR and ILM system testing, as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Required
  • Special education in Title Work/Title Law required
  • 2 Years of title/related commercial real estate experience required
  • Advance knowledge of all aspects of Commercial Real Estate Title Law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer (internal) service
  • Ability to work on multiple projects/loans simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software, inclusive of Word and Excel
  • Loan system experience required with FIS loan system preferred
  • Document Imaging system experience required
  • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and perform in a fast paced environment

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
