Overview

The General Services Assistant Manager manages the daily operations of general services functions, including facilities support, vendor coordination, and administrative logistics. This role ensures that bank facilities and services are efficiently maintained and supports the needs of internal departments and service vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide support to the General Services staff
  • Oversee the maintenance of all bank facilities
  • Serve as a liaison between General Services and other bank departments ensuring needs are met in a timely and professional manner
  • Review and approve proposals for maintenance and repair work
  • Manage repair and maintenance projects
  • Plan and execute capital improvement projects
  • Oversee signage projects
  • Coordinate with the Leasing team on branch closures and manage the restoration of the space
  • Handle insurance claims by working with the bank’s insurance broker
  • Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions
  • Reduce operational costs through efficient vendor management
  • Report operational issues or service disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with bank safety, security, and administrative policies and procedures
  • Review and approve invoices and timesheets
  • Complete performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in general services, administrative operations, or facilities management, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of facilities operations, vendor management, and general procurement processes.  Knowledge of construction management a plus. 
  • Prior knowledge and experience working with the building departments, pulling permits and managing the construction inspection process a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and office systems (e.g., ticketing software, work order systems).  Familiarity with Service Channel a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Prior experience in a banking or financial services environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents

 

Work Environment:

  • Office and facilities-based role with occasional physical demands (e.g., ability to lift 40lbs, equipment setup, climb ladders).
  • May involve travel to branch and regional offices 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Standard five day in the office weekly schedule, with flexibility for after-hours response during critical service interruptions or facility emergencies

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
