Overview

The Credit Analyst program is designed to prepare individuals for careers as a relationship manager or credit professional. Throughout the program, the individual will work with relationship managers and portfolio managers to perform credit analysis and due diligence (including but not limited to industry and company-specific research) to determine credit worthiness. The Credit Analyst will be exposed to a broad range of financing solutions, exposed to middle market businesses in a range of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis and ongoing monitoring of credit and covenant compliance.
  • Assist Portfolio Manager with analysis and credit packages for new loan requests.
  • Assist the Portfolio Manager with loan modifications, including increases, amendments, and waivers.
  • Conduct annual grade reviews.
  • Create financial spreads using the bank spreading system.
  • Complete the Bank’s cash flow model for new and existing loan requests.
  • Ensure compliance with EWB regulatory and credit requirements.
  • Assist in accurately risk rating loans.
  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other administrative duties required for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, background in Accounting preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of credit analysis and underwriting.
  • Must be comfortable with business writing.
  • Must be proficient in Excel for purposes of financial modeling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with focus on quality and integrity.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
