Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Treasury Liquidity Manager at the Vice President level to join our Treasury team. Reporting to the Deputy Treasurer, this role will work closely with the Head of Asset Liability Management (ALM), Treasurer, and CFO to lead the Bank’s liquidity risk management function. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for shaping and executing liquidity strategies, enhancing forecasting capabilities, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

On a daily basis, the candidate will:

  • Coordinate with the analytics team to review and validate daily and weekly liquidity forecasts, stress testing outputs, and funding gap analyses.
  • Prepare and review on liquidity reports, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Monitor key liquidity metrics (e.g., HQLA levels, cash flow mismatches, deposit trends) and escalate emerging risks or anomalies to senior management.
  • Prepare briefing materials and liquidity dashboards for ALCO and senior management, translating technical data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Work closely with Finance, Risk, and Capital Planning teams to ensure liquidity assumptions are aligned with balance sheet strategy, capital plans, and business growth initiatives.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and periodic testing of the Contingency Funding Plan (CFP) and liquidity stress scenarios, incorporating market intelligence and internal risk assessments.
  • Drive automation and process improvements by collaborating with IT and data teams to enhance liquidity reporting tools, streamline workflows, and build self-service dashboards using Power BI or similar platforms.

This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to influence key decisions that shape the Bank’s financial resilience and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Develop and implement robust liquidity management strategies and operational readiness to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for a large bank, including FR 2052a reporting, and liquidity coverage ratio (LCR).
  • Support the design, execution, and refinement of liquidity stress tests, contingency funding plan.

Analytics & Forecasting:

  • Define, develop, and monitor key liquidity metrics and dashboards. Lead the analysis and assessment to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Maintain processes and controls to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Enhance liquidity forecasting capabilities to improve accuracy and enhance the utilization of liquidity forecast as pivotal inputs for balance sheet management.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align liquidity management initiatives with organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, auditors, and industry peers to stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and best practices in liquidity management.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on liquidity risk management, balance sheet optimization, and funding strategies.
  • Support Asset Liability Committee and its subcommittees, preparing agendas, materials, and action item tracking.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence within the Treasury function.

Technology & Reporting:

  • Drive the advancement of data and reporting tools: Power BI dashboards, Python analytics pipelines, and SQL-based datasets.
  • Collaborate internally to automate workflows and self-service reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or FRM preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in liquidity management, financial planning and analysis, or treasury at large financial institutions or comparable scale.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory liquidity frameworks and governance practices.
  • Familiarity with ALM systems, regulatory reporting platforms.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across levels.
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams, drive change, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Able to synthesize complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills and modelling skills; proficiency in Excel required. Familiarity with Python, SQL, and Power BI is desirable and beneficial for driving innovation in reporting and automation, but not required.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $200,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
