Overview

Under supervision, provide portfolio support to Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers, by opening and onboarding commercial deposit accounts. Under supervision, independently reviewing account entity documents for commercial deposit accounts and related credit facilities. This position requires multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize assignments, master internal applications, and communicate with external and internal customers effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. Other duties may be assigned and performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
  • Fulfill new account opening requests for the Fund Finance and Commercial Lending teams from both internal and external customers. Have advanced knowledge of KYC and KYA requirements to open and onboard new accounts. Have the ability to answer questions regarding commercial account opening process and procedures, identify account structures, sort and file account opening required documents.
  • Independently collect and review entity documents for commercial deposit accounts. Open and onboard new accounts will involve working directly with customers and their associates and counsels, EWB Virtual Branch new account opening team, EWB Client service team, relationship managers, portfolio managers and BSA/compliance department.
  • Be responsible for post-account opening services, tasks may include but not limited to: introduce customers to Treasury Management Team, provide account balances and statements, calculate accrued interest, process manual wires, refund or waive fees, renew CDs, adjust rates, change account types, change account signers, change entity names, change address, combine CIS, etc.
  • When assigned, fulfill requests sent into Client Service Mailboxes. Have the ability to answer external and internal customers’ questions, identify issues and resolve problems. Tasks may include but not limited to: seeking approvals, verify account transactions, making transfers, provide forms needed, initiate research on issues, etc.
  • Be very familiar with the functions of internal departments, know where to find answers and resolve problems. Be very familiar with the compliance regulations and their procedures. The internal departments include Treasury Department, Treasury Management, wire department, loan servicing department, Risk Management, BSA, EWB Client service, GTS new accounts, Branch support, physical branches, etc.
  • Be sensitive of customers’ needs, take ownership of each request. Fulfill assignments in a timely manner. Be able to prioritize among tasks.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills and/or abilities.

  • Possess advanced knowledge of banking operations.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of commercial account structures.
  • Possess basic knowledge of onboarding procedures of credit facilities.
  • Possess basic knowledge of onboarding procedures of Treasury Management
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in relating to internal and external clients and contacts.
  • Strong Customer Service contact handling skills.
  • Ability to manage high-volume inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to complete all core trainings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $26.50/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
