Overview

This position is responsible for performing complex compliance testing through interpretation of various banking requirements, policies and procedures, data collection, gap analysis, reporting, and risk identification. Also, responsible

for managing various projects and timelines for the Corporate Compliance department.

Responsibilities

  • Sources, validates, and interprets testing population and sample data. Analyzes process and transactional data for discrepancies and risks, and effectively communicates analysis output to support identified issues.
  • Develop and identify opportunities for efficiencies for data intensive reviews (e.g. – deposit fee reviews, loan servicing, tax withholding, and batch data submissions) through collaboration with the ERM data analytics and reporting team.
  • Enable continuous monitoring through calculation and comparison against various regulatory requirements (e.g. – APR or APY calculations, Regulation B monitoring, Regulation CC Subpart B check holds, Regulation E claims, amongst other areas).
  • Develop reports and quantitative data to be incorporated into compliance risk assessments.
  • Manage the tracking of new or updated regulatory changes and project plans for any applicable implementation required.
  • Manage and monitor timelines for complaints, issue management, and department deadlines, including effective follow-up for status and completion.
  • Prepare compliance and Board committee packages.
  • Assist during examinations or audits with document requests.
  • Assist Chief Compliance Officer with strategic projects, including project management, as needed. 

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with regulatory compliance in a banking environment; knowledge of banking regulations and guidance (CFPB and FRB).
  • Minimum 3+ years of analyzing or working with data from various banking systems and data analytics to make recommendations.
  • Experience with project implementation and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.

Additional Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of banking industry and experience with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with computer technology, industry software, data processing systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $125,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
