Overview

East West Bank is currently seeking a Loan Monitoring Specialist. Reporting to Loan Monitoring Supervisor, the Loan Monitoring Specialist is mainly responsible for creating and maintaining financial and reporting covenants in the loan monitoring system, generating customer notification letters, and aiding commercial lending teams in loan monitoring activities (such as exception reporting, tickler monitoring, and support for the loan monitoring system).

Responsibilities

  • Create borrower/guarantor profiles, reporting covenants and financial covenants in loan monitoring system
  • Maintain/update customer profiles, reporting covenants and financial covenants in loan monitoring system based on credit approval and/or loan agreement
  • Provide assistance to Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers on loan monitoring process-related inquiries/requests and system-related questions/issues
  • Generate customer notification letters regarding upcoming-due and past-due required reporting documents
  • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and maintain a high-volume work environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of commercial loan monitoring, commercial credit, and FNMA loan monitoring preferred
  • IBS Insight, LPS and CASH experience preferred
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret bank policies/procedures, credit documents, legal documents, agreements, etc. Ability to communicate (in oral and written) effectively with various teams.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
