We are currently seeking a Senior Credit Analyst in our growing commercial group to support a Commercial Banking team.  Primary responsibilities will include assisting in transaction underwriting, credit approval process, documentation and execution, monitoring, surveillance and reporting of Commercial Banking relationships. This individual will be responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management for C&I Lending. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests.

• Monitoring of transaction level performance, financial statement analysis and covenant compliance. 
• Assisting Portfolio Managers in underwriting commercial and real estate transactions. 
• Assist team in internal loan execution functions, and procedures, including credit submissions, loan closing, and loan servicing. 
• Interact with third party service providers associated with the transactions including servicers, custodians/trustees, field examiners, attorneys, etc. 
• Assist in evaluating numerous transaction types across a broad array of commercial asset classes, conducting analysis of the collateral, originator, servicer and developing cash flow models and loss coverage analyses. 
• Working with Relationship Mangers and Portfolio Managers to analyze and create requisite loan memoranda to generate new loans, amendments, modifications, renewals, extensions, and waivers. 
• Working with the team to ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit and regulatory policy, procedure and business strategy. 
• Assisting with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate. 
• Promptly coordinating with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to respond to borrower requests. 
• Performing other duties and special projects as needed. 

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and directly related experience. 
• 1-4 years Commercial Credit experience and/or background in Accounting is highly preferred. 
• Knowledge of C&I including the ability to analyze tax returns, company financials and property financials is a plus. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.), and able to adapt and learn bank technology platforms. 
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership of discreet tasks while working as part of a team. 
• Strong underwriting, projection, oral communication skills. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with senior management as well as clients, with focus on quality and integrity.
