Overview

This position is responsible for the acquisition of new deposits and treasury management business with existing East West Bank (EWB) commercial and business client relationships (credit-only or non-operating relationships) or new-to-Bank clients, as well as growing the revenue and retention of assigned portfolio in the existing Global Treasury and Payments book of business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the prospecting and sales effort to generate GTP business through outside sales which are either referred or self-sourced (new-to-Bank clients).
  • Responsible for GTP business acquisition through proactive cross selling in existing commercial and business portfolio (credit-only or non-operating relationships).
  • Directly manage an assigned portfolio of high-value client relationships with the objectives of growing existing business portfolio and preventing client revenue attrition through proper end to end relationship management (relationship and portfolio growth management).
  • Be the day-to-day primary contact for the client and RM from the Deposits & Treasury Relationship prospective.
  • Responsible for the revenue growth of assigned portfolio, including evaluation of repricing opportunities and the result of recommended pricing on overall account profitability.
  • Act as the lead for all Treasury and Payments products and introduce other technical sales/product partners on product specific opportunities (e.g. merchant, commercial card, FX, derivatives, etc.)
  • Establish professional relationships with key entity principles to increase share of wallet.
  • Represent the Bank by participating in industry/trade associations and events; develop relationships with major referral sources.
  • Collaborate with sales team members on industry or specialty best practices and customized treasury requirements.
  • Keep sales activities tracking up to date in CRM system to ensure adequate recordkeeping of bank relationships, calling activities and sales opportunities.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all assigned sales and portfolio goals.
  • Provide proactive and constant feedback that assist management in the following areas:
    • Go-to-market strategy
    • Development of new treasury product solutions based on client specific business needs and conventional treasury industry practice.
    • Recommend best practices and continuous improvement in client delivery areas to ensure clients receive the best-in-class experience.
  • Actively ensure compliance with all EWB policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of Treasury and Payments sales and relationship management experience in Corporate/Commercial segments.
  • Advanced knowledge of treasury management concepts and principles as related to Bank products and services.
  • Good working knowledge of advanced outside sales, business development and cross selling techniques. Also familiar with Bank lending policies and practices, Bank operations and services, Federal and State banking regulations, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree is typically required.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) accreditation preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include selling of Bank services, negotiating and closing sales opportunities, coordinating with others throughout the Bank, preparing and delivering professional grade presentations.
  • Proficient in multiple standard business software applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to travel locally and regionally to conduct client calls, business conferences and events.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $275,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
