Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Analysis & Reporting Analyst to join our team within the Accounting Department to support the operational agenda in various areas including, but not limited to, investments (securities, tax credit investments, other equity investments), consolidation, and deposits reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end closing activities for investments (including securities, tax credit investments, and other equity investments), consolidation and deposits
  • Prepare/review month-end closing entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis at the general ledger and financial statement levels
  • Perform/review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare/review comprehensive board pages, including supporting schedules
  • Analyze new accounting pronouncements to assess potential accounting impact, and collaborate with treasury, financial reporting, operations or other teams to support effective transition and application
  • Support the preparation/review of sections of the financial statements and various supporting schedules for SEC and other regulatory filings
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and address inquiries, including updating SOX control narratives for relevant processes
  • Prepare/review various banking regulatory reports, such as the quarterly Call and FRY Report schedules
  • Lead and participate in special projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and meeting evolving regulatory requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting and reporting procedures
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting

Qualifications

  • CPA certification preferred; proficiency in US GAAP
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance or related field; Masters’ degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or public company accounting experience; experience in banking or financial services industry preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in investment accounting, consolidation, and banking regulatory reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with accounting systems, preferably PeopleSoft
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Ability to navigate complex problems in non-standardized situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain complex financial information
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak reporting periods
  • Willingness to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes and accounting standards

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $101,500.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
