Overview

The Portfolio Risk Management in Senior Credit Supervision will support the Portfolio Risk Manager in various ongoing portfolio risk management activities, such as ensuring credit requests are approved by the proper authorities, preparing periodic reporting and coordinating communication with regulators / counterparties on Shared National Credit (SNC), and managing various counterparty / correspondent bank analysis and reporting activities.  This role will require an individual with a good credit background, strong communication and organization skills, attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, and with an interest in doing and learning more about credit risk management. 

Responsibilities

  • Administers internally built risk management applications, such as CRM/CCR and FRCE to ensure smooth approval of loan requests with proper authorities
  • Maintains and updates credit and operating authority matrix
  • Manages various counterparty / correspondent bank activities, such as preparing credit approvals, conducting periodic analysis and preparing reports
  • Preparing periodic reporting and coordinating communication with regulators / counterparties on Shared National Credit (SNC),
  • Develops and implements action plans to improve credit risk management efficiency and effectiveness, which includes policy, governance, people, processes, and system enhancements.
  • Administer CASH Insight and CRE module, the financial spreading application
  • Performs quality control to ensure data accuracy, such as LTV
  • Audits / Backs up Quality Control Officer by reviewing credit approvals for new loans, renewals, and modifications to determine appropriate assignment of Fed Call Code, specialized industry, and real estate collaterals classification, and make appropriate recommend for changes when applicable
  • Calculates borrowing bases and authorizes advance requests on assigned formula-based lending (FBL) portfolio.
  • Other job functions as assigned by Manager (duties that occur infrequently or on an inconsistent basis but are still important, e.g. projects related to data accuracy and accurate compliance requirements and/or projects related to portfolio risk management)

Qualifications

  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in credit risk management or related roles
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work calmly under pressure.
  • Experience in credit underwriting / credit analysis 
  • Prior project management experience preferred
  • FRM certification is a plus
  • Ability to adapt or change approach or method to best fit the situation in a fast-evolving environment with multiple clients.
  • Proficient at performing high-quality work while managing multiple projects.
  • Adept at managing numerous time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to manage priorities
  • Proactive, energetic, and resourceful
  • Works with integrity, making sure to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
