Overview

Responsible for managing the regulatory reporting function and certain SEC areas.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review bank regulatory filings (Call reports, FR Y-9C, FFIEC 009, etc.) and completed ad hoc projects as needed, and climate reporting.
  • Monitor and implement changes in regulations.
  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring and interpretation of new GAAP, Regulatory pronouncements; prepare position papers on the impact to the company and implement the accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate with external and internal auditors, regulators regarding reporting matters. Review various schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors and assist in the audit of financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Review various schedules for internal reporting requirements including the monthly Board package.
  • Manage reporting staff to ensure adherence to reporting requirements and timelines; provide direct support to staff.
  • Provide direct support on various special projects to improve the reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • CPA license or MBA preferred
  • At least 8-10 years of public accounting, and/or public company SEC or regulatory reporting experience.
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, banking regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills; including research skills regarding current and prospective updates to reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
  • Banking experience highly preferred
  • Must be team-oriented and able to handle multiple assignments and be deadline oriented.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
  • Management experience required.
  • Effective communication, written, presentation, analytical, and research skills
  • Ability to partner well with internal customers
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and at least 8 years public accounting and/or SEC or regulatory reporting experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $140,000.00/Yr. - USD $180,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
