Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Vice President (SVP), Liquidity Pricing and Funds Management to lead critical functions within our Treasury team. This executive role will be instrumental in managing our internal liquidity valuation, driving cost efficient deposit growth strategies, working directly with existing and prospecting new deposit clients, and ensuring effective collaboration across the organization to meet the bank’s funding and profitability objectives. Reporting directly to the Treasurer, the SVP will oversee liquidity pricing strategy, deposit product innovation, and relationship management while contributing to the development of a high-performing Treasury team.

Responsibilities

  1. Internal Liquidity Valuation:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of the bank’s liquidity valuation methodologies to ensure marginal deposit acquisition is appropriate and total relationship value is effectively measured.
  • Provide analytical insights into the cost of funding and deposit behaviors, supporting decision-making at senior levels.
  • Ensure alignment of FTP frameworks with regulatory requirements, balance sheet strategies, and profitability goals.
  1. Bank-Wide Coordination of Deposit-Only Relationships:
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for managing deposit-only relationships across business lines.
  • Establish frameworks to identify, track, and analyze deposit-only clients to enhance cross-functional understanding and engagement.
  1. Management of Treasury Deposit Relationships:
  • Oversee strategic Treasury deposit relationships, ensuring a balance of growth, stability, and profitability.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers (RMs) and other stakeholders to optimize deposit portfolios across corporate, commercial, and retail segments.
  1. Prospecting Large Depository Relationships:
  • Actively prospect and acquire large depository clients, both directly and in coordination with Relationship Managers.
  • Lead efforts to deepen existing deposit relationships through innovative solutions and superior client experience.
  1. Deposit Product Development:
  • Work with Team Leads and Relationship Managers to identify effective strategies to increase our liquidity while reducing our cost of funds.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and technology teams to drive innovation and enhance product offerings.
  • Identify any shortcomings in our existing product offering strategies and work with front line to enhance our approach.
  • Develop and refine deposit products to address evolving customer needs, balance sheet condition, and competitive pressures.
  1. Front Line Outreach and Education:
  • Educate and engage front-line staff on deposit pricing strategies, liquidity concepts, and Treasury’s role in supporting bank-wide objectives.
  • Deliver tailored training programs to build front-line expertise in identifying and managing deposit opportunities.
  1. Chairing the Deposit Pricing Committee:
  • Lead the Deposit Pricing Committee, driving disciplined, data-driven pricing decisions to balance growth, profitability, and risk management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and deposit pricing effectiveness.
  1. Treasury Leadership and Team Development:
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the Treasury team.
  • Mentor and develop Treasury staff, ensuring succession planning and a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Represent Treasury on cross-functional committees and in interactions with executive leadership.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, advanced degree or CFA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Treasury, Finance, or related areas within the banking industry.
  • Strong expertise in ALM, liquidity management, FTP, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Analytical Excellence:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills:Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for engaging diverse stakeholders and presenting to senior executives.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Project Management:Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaboration & Influence:Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across business lines and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Regulatory Acumen:Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations and their implications for Treasury operations.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $180,000.00/Yr. - USD $220,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
