Overview

The Middle Office Analyst’s primary function is to support the Front Office Derivatives and Investment teams by implementing a thorough trade capture, reconciliation and risk mitigation framework. In addition, this role will be responsible for comprehensive risk reporting and monitoring as well as counterparty onboarding and trade documentation.

Responsibilities in this role will require close coordination with various business partners including sales, trading, technology, compliance, legal, internal/external vendors, and accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Front Office/Investment teams by providing trade support for all fixed income and derivative trades (interest rate and energy)
  • Participate in trade capture of complex derivative products including review of legal documentation, trade confirmations
  • Perform trade reconciliations and resolve breaks or discrepancies
  • Resolve complex trade issues that require extensive evaluation and perform life cycle management across all derivative types
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new clients, strategies, products, and asset types
  • Perform vendor oversight and model validation of key Middle Office functions
  • Implement process improvements to mitigate risk

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience within Middle Office / Derivatives Middle Office
  • Strong Microsoft product skills (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Dynamics)
  • Good analytical, organizational and quantitative skills and can independently prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of fixed income securities and interest rate and energy derivatives
  • Proficient with Bloomberg, Markit, TriResolve, Acadia and other derivatives trade capture systems

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $85,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
