Overview

The Senior lnternational Operations Officer is responsible for the day-to-day processing of Trade product transactrons within the lnternational Operations Team. Processing will include but are not limited to: Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary lmport Letters of Credit, Export Letters of Credit and Financing, lmport and Export Documentary Collections and Supply Chain Financing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and direction on operational aspects of trade finance to both internal and external customers, Escalate any issues to supervisor regarding trade finance services.
  • Process and review transactions with speed and accuracy.
  • Provide training to new hires and/or junior processors.
  • Assist manager/supervisors in policy and procedure development and enhancements.
  • Support the implementation of new products to maintain competitiveness in the trade Finance industry.
  • Continually look to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
  • Adhere to all department policies and procedures to ensure all lnternal Compliance/Anti- Boycott/OFAC/AML. Collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements, Bovernment rules, contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of all trade product laws, regulations, developments, and trends in the industry. Good working knowledge of UCP600, lSP98, URC522, lncoterms, IBSP and 5WlFT.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent preferred
  • 5 years' experience in related field is required.
  • Knowledge of UCP600, ISP98, URC522, lncoterms and SWIFT.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze and quantify the financial impact of the issues involved.
  • Ability to handle and escalate situations using great interpersonal, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and follow through.
  • Proficient written, verbal and presentation skills are needed to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet, and internal software.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $80,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
