Overview

East West Bank is seeking a BSA Analyst II. The BSA Analyst II's primary function is to complete SAR investigations, SAR filings, and conduct periodic EDD reviews of the bank's high-risk customers. We offer flexible Hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research, analysis, and investigation of SAR and periodic EDD files
  • Review and make decision on AML/ suspicious transaction monitoring alerts and file initial and supplemental suspicious activity reports (SAR) to FinCEN on a timely basis, as warranted
  • Escalate potentially suspicious activity findings to management
  • Gathers information from outside resources such as Internet searches, third-party vendors, public records, newspaper articles, etc.
  • Monitor and perform periodic enhanced due diligence reviews of approved high risk individuals and entities based on customer’s risk profile
  • Conducts follow-up with account officer for any missing or necessary documentation.
  • Makes recommendation for account closure
  • Stay up to date and knowledgeable on BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements and FinCEN guidelines
  • Performs additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience required
  • 3 or more years of BSA or banking experience
  • Familiar with BSA/AML relevant law and regulations both in US and China.
  • Well organized, critical thinking and ability to prioritize workload and use sound judgement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, creative thinker, internet savvy
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills  

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $29.00/Hr. - USD $32.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
