Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly corporate forecasting process including projected income statement, balance
    sheet, risk-weighted assets (RWA) capital ratios:
    • Take ownership of 5-year corporate financial forecast process and model.
    • Collaborate with various teams to update assumptions for interest income and expense,
      operating expenses, fee income, loans, investments, deposits and other key income
      statement and balance sheet items.
    • Work in partnership with the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team to compare
      financial forecasts and assumptions.
    • Integrate actuals information into forecast from accounting systems and other data
      sources.
    • Summarize financial forecasts for Executive Management and the Board.
    • Support Investor Relations on financials for earning releases and guidance.
    • Leverage the forecast model to support other initiatives including the 5-year Strategic
      Plan process, Capital Stress Testing and Capital Planning.
    • Provide ongoing improvement of financial forecast model and process including
      automation where appropriate.
  •  Manage the enterprise-wide capital stress testing process:
    • Develop the annual capital stress testing project plan including key work product, owners,
      reviewers and deadlines.
    • Manage the macroeconomic scenario process including data collection and presentation
      to Executive Management.
    • Collaborate with various teams (Treasury, Accounting, FX / Interest Rate) teams to
      forecast expected credit and market losses in various macroeconomic scenarios.
    • Analyze and forecast other potential losses related to other key risks including
      operational, strategic and reputational.
    • Manage the aggregation model of stress testing.
    • Develop presentations on capital stress testing progress and results for Executive
      Management and the Board
    • Work in partnership with model owners to ensure the capital stress testing use case is
      consistent with Model Risk Management policies and procedures
    • Support capital stress testing process enhancement, control, challenge, governance and
      change initiatives.
  • Manage the corporate economic forecasting process:
    • Provide insights from current economic events and government data releases (inflation,
      unemployment, GDP, monetary policy, etc.)
    • Provide comparisons to other published forecasts
    • Download and analyze monthly macroeconomic scenarios from vendor.
    • Support model risk management activities related the global macroeconomic model.
  • Support other Treasury initiatives and responsibilities, including stock buybacks, dashboards, key
    risk indicator (KRI) reports, policies and procedures, committee presentations, Board presentation
    support, meeting minutes production and review, and second, third and regulatory reviews.
  • Identify Corporate Finance processes needing improvement of efficiency and automation and
    enacting that change.
  • Maintain, develop and validate other financial models as needed to serve corporate finance and
    analytical needs.
  • Adaptability for work on ad hoc Corporate Finance and Treasury projects.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of relevant Finance work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Finance,
    Mathematics, Statistics), Master’s degree preferred.
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative field and/or a professional certification directly related to
    financial risk management (such as CFA, FRM or MBA) is a strong plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of latest DFAST/CCAR requirements and guidelines or experience
    with capital stress testing processes for a medium-sized bank.
  • Strong understanding of US Basel III regulatory guidelines and hands on experience with RWA
    calculations.
  • Ability to define, articulate and re-engineer complex processes and procedures, with appropriate
    controls, and think both strategically and tactically while driving meticulous execution.
  • Able to navigate through large organizations to streamline and summarize multiple information
    sources, create repeatable process to build consistency in presenting information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Strong Microsoft Excel skills including familiarity with
    complex formulas, pivot tables and cross-workbook linkages with continuous goals towards
    accuracy, automation, repeatability, auditability and presentability. Microsoft Power BI experience
    preferred.
  • Experience with VBA and/or SQL is a major plus.
  • Experience working with large datasets.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $170,000.00/Yr. - USD $225,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
