Overview

East West Bank is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to be responsible for the daily direction of the Accounting Department.  The candidate will have involvement in monthly closing activities with emphasis on securitizations, intercompany currencies, equity, and loan level. The Accounting Manager is also point of contact for internal departments outside banking institutions and auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations and month-end close of accounting with a focus on cash, deposit, payroll, foreign currency, fixed assets, prepaids, leases.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and review analysis for monthly and quarterly GL account variance.
  • Establish and enforce proper internal controls, accounting methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Review various schedules and reports for internal users and external auditors and assist in the audit of financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Complete Accounting requirements to support the Bank’s new products/services or enhancements.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts
  • Banking/financial institution experience preferred
  • At least 7 years public accounting and/or public company accounting experience
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various Bank departments and manage team members.
  • CPA license or MBA preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Inquisitive mind and intellectual curiosity
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Advanced usage of Microsoft Excel

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
